A clear path from first ideas to final fit
Knowing what happens next makes it easier to enquire. Here is how a typical Marston Made project moves from conversation to installation.
Five Clear Steps
- 1
Initial conversation
Confirm the project type, location and broad brief.
- 2
Design visit
Discuss the room, storage needs, style and practical constraints.
- 3
CAD and quotation
Present the proposed design and a clear quotation.
- 4
Workshop build
Manufacture and finish the furniture in our workshop.
- 5
Installation and walkthrough
Fit the furniture, make final adjustments and review the completed work.
What to prepare before the first conversation
- Your postcode and a rough sense of the room
- What you need to store or display
- Any photographs of the space, if you have them
- Any inspiration images for style or finish
- A note of constraints such as sloping ceilings or limited access
What happens during the design visit
We look at the room together, discuss how you use it, take measurements and talk through style, finish and practical constraints. The aim is a clear brief before any drawings are prepared.
How CAD and approval work
Drawings show the proposed layout, proportions and key details. You review and approve the design with the quotation before manufacture begins.
Workshop and finishing
Furniture is manufactured and finished in the workshop. Materials, hardware and detailing are prepared so installation day is focused, careful and efficient.
Installation expectations
We protect the home, fit the furniture, scribe where needed and make final adjustments. A walkthrough at the end confirms the completed work.
Payment, changes, guarantees and aftercare
Deposit stages, change process, guarantee length and aftercare details. These will be confirmed clearly with your quotation.
Process FAQs
What happens after I enquire?
We review your details, then get in touch to discuss the project and, where it is a good fit, arrange a design visit.
Do you provide a drawing before manufacture?
Yes. We provide a line drawing for your approval. Full detailed CAD drawings are available for a small fee once the design is approved.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the design and our current workload. We are normally starting within six to eight weeks after taking the deposit. We confirm a realistic timescale with your quotation.
What affects the price?
Size, complexity, materials, finish, hardware and installation access all influence cost. We provide a clear quotation with the proposed design rather than a generic estimate.
What guarantee and aftercare do you offer?
We offer a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of installation. This does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, or issues caused by misuse or lack of proper care.
Ready to start the conversation?
Share a few details about your room and we will take it from there.
